Households Research Unit

The Households Research Unit (HRU) is an independently-funded research group within the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Melbourne. The aim of the Unit is to investigate the economic structure of households and their interaction with the market economy. Since 1991, the HRU has continued and expanded the innovative research program first undertaken in the 1980s by the Centre for Applied Research on the Future.
