Department
of Economics PhD Scholarships & Stipends
We offer scholarship opportunities
to PhD students enrolled in the Department
of Economics. They are:
The
Henry Buck Scholarship
The Henry Buck Scholarship is awarded
annually. It is valued at approximately AUD$4000,
but is dependent on the annual net income from
the Henry Buck Trust. Subject to the approval
of the Department's PhD Committee, the recipient
may utilize the scholarship solely for living
allowance, or may commit the funds to a combination
of purposes that are directly related to their
studies. The scholarship is for a twelve month
period only (running from January 1st - December
31st). The method of payment will be dependent
on the successful applicants intended use of
the funds. The Department reserves the right
not to offer the scholarship in any given year.
Selection
Students who are enrolled as full-time
PhD students with the Department of Economics
will be considered for a Faculty Fee Remission
Scholarship and the Henry Buck Scholarship if
they:
- Have a Department Recommended Scholarship
Score (DRS) of equal to or greater than
80 and
- Are not in receipt of a University or
Government Scholarship.
Living
Stipends
Living stipends may be available
for eligible students to financially assist
