The Centre for Microeconometrics is a focal point for research in microeconometrics. Its members, staff and PhD students drawn from the Department and the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research (MIAESR), are concerned with the development, evaluation and application of microeconometric methods. Branches of economics currently researched by the Centre include consumer expenditure analysis, environmental economics, labour economics, health economics, transport economics, measurement of inequality and poverty, and measurement of productivity and efficiency.
