Getting there

Train

Train travellers alight at Melbourne Central station, exiting via the Swanston Street exit. Any tram on Swanston Street heading North-West named "University" will arrive at the new “tram super stop” just before Melbourne University stop. Cross the road and take Grattan St on your left until you will see Barry stree which is also on your left.

You can also exit via Elizabeth street Melbourne central, and would be best to get on Tram no. 19 North Coburg - City Elizabeth St and get off on stop no 9 or 10. If you get off on stop no 9 then please cross the road and take Pelham street and immediately turn left on Berkerley street. The Facculty of Business and Economics building will be on your right just after the Spot building. If you get off on stop no 10 which is on Grattan street, then please cross then walk towards Swanston street and turn on your right either on Berkeley street or Barry street whichi follows immediately.

Bus

Two bus services take you to the doorstep of the University of Melbourne. The bus stop for both services is outside the the University of Melbourne on Swanston Street:

Travelling by car

If travelling by car, enter the University via Swanston Street, Elizabeth street or Royal Parade. Details can be found on Melway Map 43 or any online street map.

Due to the limited amount of public car parking available, it is highly recommended to travel by public transport whenever possible.
