Dr Tom Wilkening

Biography
Tom received a BA in math and economics from the University of Arizona in 2001 and obtained his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in May 2008. He joined the Department as a Lecturer in August 2008. Tom conducts research in the fields of Experimental Economics, Market Design, and Development. His current research focuses on the role that information plays in the formation and persistence of institution, how market design can help in the preservation of antiquities in developing countries, and on the behavioral forces that affect optimal contracting.
